SMS Program Terms

These SMS Program Terms (“SMS Terms”) govern your participation in any text-message program operated by Inspection.re (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By providing your mobile phone number to us and consenting to receive text messages, you agree to these SMS Terms. If you do not agree, do not opt in to SMS communications.

These SMS Terms are in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In case of conflict between these SMS Terms and our Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.

Status note (May 2026): We currently send only transactional SMS related to scheduled inspections. We are not yet sending marketing or promotional text messages. The provisions below covering marketing SMS describe how that program will operate when launched. We will update this document and the consent flow at that time.

1. Two Types of SMS Messages

We send two kinds of SMS messages, and the rules for each are different.

(a) Transactional SMS (information about a booking you’ve made). When you book an inspection or contact us, we may send you operational text messages necessary for the service — appointment confirmations, reminders, inspector arrival notifications, report-availability notifications, and similar service messages. These do not require separate marketing consent; submitting your booking is your consent to receive these messages.

(b) Marketing SMS (promotional content). When this program is active, we will only send you promotional or marketing text messages if you separately opt in by checking the dedicated SMS marketing consent box at the time you submit a form on our Site. Marketing SMS may include special offers, discounts, home-maintenance tips, and announcements about new services. Marketing SMS is never a condition of any purchase.

By checking the SMS marketing consent box (when available), you provide Prior Express Written Consent under the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA, 47 U.S.C. § 227) and applicable state mini-TCPAs to receive autodialed and prerecorded marketing text messages from Inspection.re at the mobile number you provide. You confirm that:

  • You are the subscriber of the mobile number provided, or are authorized to provide consent on the subscriber’s behalf;
  • You are at least 18 years old;
  • You understand consent is not a condition of any purchase.

3. Message Frequency

Transactional message frequency depends on your booking activity (typically 2–6 messages per inspection).

When the marketing program is active, you may receive between 2 and 8 marketing messages per month in addition to any transactional messages.

4. Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply to each message you send or receive. Your wireless carrier — not Inspection.re — determines these rates. Check with your carrier for details.

5. How to Opt Out (STOP)

You may opt out of marketing SMS at any time:

  • Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to any marketing message. We will send one final confirmation message and then stop marketing messages to your number.
  • Email us at [email protected].

Opting out of marketing SMS does not opt you out of transactional SMS about a pending booking. If you wish to stop ALL SMS (transactional and marketing), reply STOP and then contact us at [email protected].

We will honor opt-out requests within 10 business days, consistent with TCPA requirements. We maintain a permanent suppression list of opted-out numbers; once you opt out, we will not send marketing SMS to that number unless you re-opt in.

6. How to Get Help (HELP)

Reply HELP to any of our messages and we will respond with our contact information and a link to these SMS Terms. You may also email us at [email protected].

7. Supported Carriers

Our SMS program is compatible with major U.S. wireless carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, U.S. Cellular, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Changes to These SMS Terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. If we make material changes that affect your rights or the nature of the messages you receive, we will notify you by SMS, by email, or by posting on our Site, in each case at least 10 days before the changes take effect. Your continued participation in the SMS program after the effective date of a revised version constitutes acceptance.

9. Privacy

Information you provide to us in connection with the SMS program is governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your mobile number, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. When marketing SMS is active, we will share your mobile number with our SMS gateway provider solely so they can deliver messages on our behalf, under a written contract that restricts how they may use that information.

Carrier consent passthrough: Mobile carriers and SMS gateway providers (e.g., Twilio, Telnyx, or similar) require us to register our SMS program and provide proof of consent. Information about your opt-in (including your mobile number, the date and time of opt-in, the form URL where you opted in, and the IP address from which you submitted the opt-in) is retained as proof of consent and is not used for marketing purposes by these providers.

10. SMS Program Carrier Disclosures (Required when marketing is active)

When our marketing SMS program is launched, the following disclosures will apply, as required by U.S. wireless carriers and The Campaign Registry as part of 10DLC SMS campaign registration:

  • Program name: Inspection.re Marketing SMS
  • Program description: Promotional and educational text messages from Inspection.re about home inspection services, special offers, and home-maintenance content
  • Message frequency: 2–8 messages per month
  • Message and data rates: Standard message and data rates may apply
  • HELP: Reply HELP for help
  • STOP: Reply STOP to cancel
